Sarcoma Muscle Cancer - Uterine sarcoma is a rare form of cancer, begins in the muscles and other tissues of the uterus. In most cases, can be found in women who have menopause.

There are essentially two types of Sarcoma Muscle Cancer: (1) Leiomyosarcoma (cancer that begins in the smooth muscle cells) and (2) endometrial stromal sarcoma (which begins in the cells of tissues).

Women who took the drug tamoxifen for breast cancer are also at much greater risk of developing the disease. Women who took the medication need regular pelvic exams and report any abnormal bleeding to their doctor immediately.

Now, it is very important to know that all the growth in the uterus after menopause is not malicious. It is much, much more benign (not cancerous) malignant growth, which is diagnosed each year.
